Sourdough Discard Crackers

Crispy sourdough discard crackers made with butter and simple seasonings. An easy sourdough discard recipe that turns extra starter into a flavorful homemade snack.

Ingredients

  • 375 g Sourdough Starter active or discard
  • 42 g Melted Butter 3 tbsp
  • Seasonings to preference

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Spread very thinly and evening onto a baking sheet.
    USE PARCHMENT IF YOUR SHEET ISN’T NON-STICK.
  3. Bake at 325°F for 10 mins. Remove from the oven and score into cracker shapes with a pizza cutter.
  4. Place back into the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes (depending on thickness). The crackers will be completely hard and crispy when done. Tossing them a few times throughout the baking time will help them bake more evenly!
